Spanish Writer, Novelist of Generation of '98, Valencia Graduate

: Spanish writer from the generation of '98 . Baroja, who received his doctorate in medicine, ended up abandoning that profession in favor of literature, an activity in which he cultivated the novel and, to a much lesser extent, the theater. In his work, in which he often betrays a pessimistic attitude, he reflected his individualism. (From: Wikipedia.org.)

Quote #1 on Education Struggle Quotes >> Learning and Coercion

“On one side are those (and they will always be there) who believe that the Church is the truth and that truth should have force. On the other side we believe that truth is not obtainable. And we believe that even if truth were attainable it should not use force ever.”
